Debout face au Léman, elle jouait distraitement avec une mèche de cheveux pendant que son regard se perdait vers l’autre rive.

Avec une longue focale et une faible profondeur de champ, l’arrière-plan se transforme en une succession de formes et de couleurs douces, laissant toute l’attention sur la posture, les textures des cheveux et cette sensation d’évasion. Une scène simple, construite davantage sur l’équilibre de la composition que sur l’action.

Following Keolis/MBTA trains 2059 and 1959 for New Bedford and Fall River respectively is Massachusetts Coastal Railroad train MC-3 hustling through Myricks interlocking at MP NM40.4 as they cross over from the New Bedford Mainline onto Main 3 of the Fall River Secondary.

Leading the way is MC 2014, an EMD GP59 blt. Dec. 1989 as NS 4628 and retired and sold to Progress Rail in May 2020 before being rebuilt at MEI in St. Louis and delivered to MC in March 2023. They have only two cars in tow, both loads of flower for Gold Medal Bakery that will be unloaded at the Fall River State Pier and trucked the last two miles despite the long out of service line remaining intact right past their plant.

This three mile stretch of track rebuilt for South Coast Rail between this point and East Taunton station near Cotley Jct is the busiest segment of the new service as it sees all train movements. For decades the line through here was a single track 10 mph railroad seeing no more than one freight train a day each way and now in addition to this freight it sees 58 passenger trains pass!

The track diverging toward the lower right corner of the frame is just a short MofW set out track that was once a freight spur serving a now gone Agway and the two tracks leading toward the left corner are the mainlines to New Bedford.
