The La(te)st PHP 7 — What's new in PHP 7.4

• OPcache is awesome

• It prevents a lot of work "compiling" PHP files

• Still overhead: class resolving, checking whether files have modified, cache size/evictions

Added in 7.4:

A new php.ini directive: opcache.preload

With this directive you can specify a single PHP file which will perform the preloading task.
